After having drunk nearly half of the bottle im pretty sure in my assessment this time around. This is my final score and won't be changing it.
I previously rated this whisky 90 points but have since realized that my judgement was flawed and that while this whisky is definitely good, it doesn't deserve such a high rating, you could say I was naive in my original review.
That said, this is a really nice whisky which is one that those who like sherried and wood driven whiskies will enjoy.
Slight alcoholic burn (duh it's 66%), sherry, woody, vanilla, and the faintest hint of smoke.
Prominent sherry influence, spicy, some woody notes.
Wood, sherry, lightly drying.
Pretty good considering its age, but not worth the price tag even at cask strength imo. Doesn't offer much complexity and is rather straightforward but the flavors are good.
86 points from me which is a whisky that's is better than average.
