The initial nose is a fistful of dirty Islay peat. Smoking wooden ashes and barbecued meats galore. Honey glazed ham. Salty seaspray with fresh seashells and kippers. Then, some sweetness. Vanilla sponge filled with raspberries and sultanas. A squeeze of lemon freshness and some candied orange peels. Dark caramel and brown sugar. Then some cracked black pepper.

Much sweeter on the palate. The peat is earthier with a note of TCP now, it calms down slightly (but is still very present). More juicy red fruits and toffee now. Fresh leather and dried tea leaves. More barbecued meats. Candied bacon. Again candied citrus peels. Burnt tobacco and cigar ash. Delicate warming ginger and some minty liquorice.

Medium in length. The peat returns and dominates initially. Ashtray. More tea leaves and burnt tobacco. A bitter mocha-like note now. Light tannins and just enough brown sugar sweetness to give it some balance.
