  1. MaltMartin scored this whisky 92 points Connoisseur

Again an excellent undisclosed Irish from the early 1990s. Complex, luscious, and fruity. Excellent stuff. Samuel Gelston is known to source its casks at Bushmills, so probably no Cooley here...
    • Nose
Typical Irish early 1990's nose with lots of juicy fruitiness of mango, banana and pink grapefruit. Followed by guava, Fuji apples and blackberries. Hints of shortbread and toffee. Old leather, cigar boxes and varnished oak too. Whiff of smoke in the background.
    • Taste
Very creamy with lots of tropical fruit again. I have apricots, lychees, and kaki fruit. Some kiwi, pineapple, and peel zest as well. Lingering spices of thyme, camphor, and fennel. Light vanilla, marzipan, and honey. Nettle and green tea later on. Hints of tobacco. Fantastic!
    • Finish
Quite long with gorgeous acid of lemon peel mixed with sweetness of cinnamon. A little pine at the end. Needless to say this whisky is well balanced and integrated.

  3. CaffeineCowboy scored this whisky 92 points Expert Senior

    • Nose
Fruitiness combined with some smoke. A mixture of mango, oak and cigar smoke.
    • Taste
What a fruity bomb. Apricots, peaches and pineapple. Followed by some minty flavours.
    • Finish
More smoky than fruity now. Long and lingering.

  5. justnantui scored this whisky 1 points Newbie

    • Nose
Cold, Fireworks, Kerosene and malt in a basement. So fxxking terrible
    • Taste
The sweetness appears in the front. But the kerosene and addle meats become the main flavor. So disgusting.
    • Finish
Long and strong, but not joyful. Somked meat and some sea water.

  6. whisky313 did not rate this whisky Specialist

An extremely rare bottling of Irish Single Malt matured for a minimum of 28 years solely in ex-bourbon Casks. Bottled at Cask strength (49.1% abv) and not chillfiltered in order to maintain its unique character. Beautifully complex whisky to be savoured.
