Light, fruity and cheap. Nothing much to say, lacks complexity but it's a good one. Definitely yummy.

Very fruity, balanced and drinkable - very good!

Reminds me on a Springbank 10 (that is available for 40 bucks)
    • Nose
      91 91
Fruity, peach, apple, apricot, whiffs of smoke and leather, hints of oak wood, spices, little vanilla - very good!
    • Taste
      92 92
Oily, sirupy, subtle sweetness, more fruity, more spicy, more woody, little vanilla - great!
    • Finish
      90 90
      Medium long, warm, spicy

quite impressive stuff, I cannot understand the low rating here in the base.
    88/100
    • Nose
head to head with auchnagie and stratheden:

the nose is the best of the three although I found the others quite good.

but this one is more chiselled and layered.

quite some very pleasant smoke with just a little tar and soot., nuts and oak. hints of liquorice and cough candies.
    • Taste
oily mouthfeel and really a good amount of peat smoke. tar and liquorice, apples in the background.
      leather.
    • Finish
long, with a bit of salt and liquorice.

It's not bad except for the bitter reverie. Anyway, at a given price level you can get better drinks, but it is worth the test.
    • Nose
Woodiness, caramel, citrus, a little honey, overgrown pears, some of the sea
    • Taste
Strongly sugary sweet, overcoated tea, woodiness, maybe a little smoke, cocoa, candlelight, candy, overall soft and quite spicy
    • Finish
Malt, woody bitterness, varnish, once again quite spice - medium long

Tasted at a Malt Mongers Israel evening.

This was a wonderfully dirty-tasting dram, full of notes that remind one of an artisan’s shop or building site along with some really nice vanilla notes.

    • Nose
Dirty. Waxy fruits. Grapey. Light wood. White wine tannins. Custard.
    • Taste
Dry wall. Plaster of Paris. Dust. Pineapple. Woodspice. Chilli.
    • Finish
Long. Very dirty. Very dusty. Woodspice. Woody vanilla.

The nose is interesting (even if it is not quite my flavors), unfortunately, mouth and finish are somewhat sloping. This results in a decent overall picture that corrects my expectations nicely.
    • Nose
interesting mixture of spices (unfortunately not identifiable for me but gives the nose a nice push) and fruits, the aroma of overripe pears is initially very dominant, I also find raisins and malt flavors, after a few minutes I also get associations of straw and fresh grass,
    • Taste
the 46% come first relatively "rough" over, which is better in any case! The taste itself is not bad at all. First the fruits from the nose supplemented with plums, then camp fire smoke and the dark brown / black crust of meat that lay too long on the grill, some licorice
    • Finish
The finish clearly focuses on the smoky aspects and is warm and medium in length, occasionally remnants of fruit sweetness.

The light smoke gives the otherwise mild, simple whiskey a small edge, which then arouses some interest. Certainly not spectacular but good drinkable. The PLV is still somewhat inappropriate, a little over € 30 would be a fair price.
Of the 3 bottlings (this, Stratheden, Auchnagie) he comes in 1st place.
    • Nose
slight sherry note, little campfire smoke, flowery, slightly sweetish malt, strawberries with a few raspberries
    • Taste
some peat smoke with a slight leather note, trace dry sherry, slightly peppery
    • Finish
rather short, light smoke, little Bromberre
