Why does this whisky get such a low rating? It is a more then decent dram I believe.
Sweet toffee. Little shy at first. Little of the sherry casks, which I think is nice in these days of overly sherried whisky. With a drop of water you will get more heater, some hints of honey and flowers. There is also a fresh note in the background.
Sweet and malty. A little sweet and sour sauce comes up. Then again some grassy notes, followed by subtle sherry notes. Quite a decent matured dram. Leaves a nice and oily coated mouthfeel.
Medium-long length. A little bitter at first, but then comes the sherry notes, compelled by toffee and fudge. Fades away with a honey sweetness and after that a little bitter bite. The bitterness takes a point off.
