I can imagine that the finish in particular shares the tastes. Those who like it especially like it and those who don't like it, it finally pissed off here. Thumbs up from me.
    • Nose
      60 60
Strong like oak and vanilla. A little later sweet tones appear, but somehow not fruity at all. Doesn't smell like 47% at all.
    • Taste
      60 60
Doesn't taste like 47% either. It is quite spicy, but in terms of alcoholic strength I would almost classify it as "mild". In addition, lots of oak and little else. But all of this is very voluminous and a bit sweet. Pure bourbon!
    • Finish
      60 60
It remains a pleasant woody, but not bitter, tone that coats the tongue and the entire mouth. All of that plus nice notes of vanilla.

Lovely mature bourbon, sweet and spicy, with corncookies, leather, pinewood, oranges, honey, coffee, caramel, rum, marzepin, flowers, nutmeg, cloves and some wax.

I have had this whiskey before but it was a long time ago and if my memory serves me right I loved it. Almonds and blood orange, apple skins, honey and golden syrup on the nose.
47% can't argue with that , sweet corn and just a little spice with plenty of Oak and orange peel.
Nice medium finish with some dried fruit on the death.
This was a sample courtesy of lincolnimp. The quality is still there as well as the price but I have no idea where they get some of these prices shown below. Fantasy Island? Hey Boss the bourbon, the bourbon.

The nose is quite earthy, musty & dirty, you know there is a little fruit in the background but it is being held back by everything else.
Nice mouthfeel on the palate, really spicy and bags of flavour with finally some sweetness.
Reasonable length on the finish with that metallic edge that I find in many bourbons.
The palate is much better than the nose suggested.
Nice finish also, I can`t believe it, my second nice bourbon tonight, they do exist after all :)

Spicy bourbon. A little too much for my taste and a little more.
    • Nose
Spicy caramel with lots of vanilla and oak.
    • Taste
Seasoning, seasoning and more seasoning! Add caramel and vanilla. The oak flavor is dominant. Quite sweet too.
    • Finish
      Long and spicy.

Very round, delicious thing for a reasonable price, I'm all the more curious about the hyped Barrelproof.
    • Nose
Dark caramel, sweet malt, honey, milk chocolate, a little tea, pepper
    • Taste
Cotton candy, then full alcohol, dark malt, dark caramel again, burnt brown sugar, mahogany honey, slight hay seeds, a little glue
    • Finish
Very round, caramel, honey, strong, medium-long

In the price segment certainly a killer. The 12 years are very good for him.
    • Nose
Caramel sweetness, set more clearly than young Bourbons, darker with beautiful oak, vanilla
    • Taste
softer and rounder than expected, less sweet than on the nose, aromatic and "gentle", quite complex for Bourbon
    • Finish
Alcohol is well integrated, the oak flavors wonderfully, although spicy, but not too spicy

  16. Dalm did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

Aroma: sweet. Caramel, light touch, vanilla, oak
Taste: delicious, spicy, citrus, slightly spritig, spicy
Finish: long, spicy, dry, bitter oak

Very good Quality / price ratio !

Tasted at Whiskey Live Paris 2015.
    • Nose
Bourbony, on cinamon, a bit sugarry but not too much. Corn.
    • Taste
Nice, The ABV is good here. Little caramel, Cloves, cinamon, a light bitterness.
    • Finish
      A bit short

  18. Rom did not rate this whisky Expert Junior

Bourbon standard richer and more complex than the Evan Williams but less sweet and sweet.

Overall for the money a very good bourbon when you can find it. A bit harsh yet, but with a bit of water or even an ice cube after melting it can be very enjoyable on a hot summer day. I usually always make sure i have a bottle of this somewhere to balance out the other bourbon options I have. 81/100
    • Nose
Sweet brown sugar and caramalized oakspice.
    • Taste
Very full bodied, almost like a fine port wine. Imediately you get hit with a sugary oak note, moving quickly to a bitter chocolate.
    • Finish
A short to medium finish, brown sugar again, vainlla bean, honey, caramalized almonds, nutmeg and cinnamon linger on the front of the pallate after about 30 seconds.
