Thanks Malt Haus for the mystery dram.

Bright, clean and fresh, immediately reminds me of Clynelish, and Compass Box's signature-ish nose (most of the CBs had Clynelish in their blend). Nice scent of wooden furniture and vanilla essence, with a sharp citrusy. The fruits are coming in nicely behind which reminds me of fresh peaches and nectarines. After a few sips, the fruit notes become heavier, and turn into cooked fruits. Some cinnamon as well.

Fruits, slightly sweet, good strength that brings out the austere spiciness. Lots of fruits, which is always a good thing in whisky. Slightly bitter after the fruits faded. Good amount of oakiness.

Fruits and fruits, lots of fruits. A refreshing finishing with some oakiness and slight bit of bitter oranges.

SMWS Tasting Notes: Initial nosing confirms this to be more wonderfully bonkers juice from this most enigmatic of distilleries. Molten jellied fruits, pineapple syrup, green malt drizzled with honey, sweet muesli, crystallised citrus fruits, gooseberry cordial and strawberry lip balm. Curiously reminiscent of some very old Irish pure pot still whisky. Evolves with some lightly carbolic edges, fermenting beer notes and bubblegum ice cream. Reduction adds lemon cough drops, vanilla foam, cut grass, delicate background medicines and a hint of lavender. Superb! In the mouth it's delightfully syrupy in texture. Fruit juices from a tin, star fruit, guava, dessert wines of indeterminate origin, hints of olive oil, cooling wort, melon and boiled lime sweets. Water brings wood polish, herbal teas, jasmine, sandalwood, light salinity, vegetable broth and the tannic nibble of black tea.
