      Powerfull. I am detecting a strange, but pleasant weed note I somtimes find in Kornog malts, Jean Donnay's ex distillery which is not too far from Lannion.
      Milder with water. Can' t really smell any port influence.
    • Taste
      84 84
      Fruitier than the nose promised but not as oily=fat as expected. Yeasty with some sweet whiffs. Tastes way younger than it is. I would have given it 5 years blind.
    • Finish
      83 83
      Too short, malty and simple. Hardly any aftertaste.
      Must have been very tired port casks.

      I have not read other notes before.

    COLOR: amber / copper

    - a nice single cask bottling
    - better than the Sauternes bottling 2020
    - but for 75 € despite the single cask this is a bit too
    expensive for the quality
    • Nose
      sweet port wine, plum, very intense and fruity
      Aftertaste
    • Taste
      oW: very intense, strong start, oily, creamy, sweet fruity notes, despite the 55% it can also be enjoyed pure;

      mW: sweet, fruity, intense approach, dark fruits, very aromatic, plum
    • Finish
      medium-long, powerful finish;
      long, extremely intense aftertaste

  3. schengel10 scored this whisky 83 points Connoisseur

    Another well-coordinated, harmonious single cask bottling from Armorik, this time matured in a port barrel for 12 years;
    {Color:] = copper;
    • Nose
      sweet port wine, fruity (plums, blackberries), intense;
    • Taste
      intense, strong attack, oily, creamy, sweet, dark fruits (plums, plums), spices, port wine aromas, also drinkable pure;
    • Finish
      medium length, strong, fruity, dry spice, oak;

  4. Issie did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

    • Nose
      Very strange. When I smelled the bottle earlier, I had smoke. Now I don't smell any smoke at all.
      Forest berry jam, strawberries, blackberries, plum jam with a little cinnamon, dark dried fruits, chocolate, honey, caramel, black currants, a little lemon
    • Taste
      Wild berry jam, with fresh berries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, black currants, gooseberries, plums, chocolate, nuts

  5. 11insomnium scored this whisky 84 points Expert Senior

    Comes a little younger than he is. Solid whisky, but not a revelation either. Fruity with more time in the glass.
    • Nose
      Slightly smoky at the beginning, fruity strawberry jam, sweet and somewhat floral, fresh sawdust
    • Taste
      Fruity, sweet, strong, spicy, light medicinal touch, fine dryness, again strawberries, a little honey, slight alcohol sharpness
    • Finish
      Fruity sweetness with a little dry spice

  6. Xaver did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

    • Nose
      Colour:
      Light copper

      Nose:
      The colleague starts out fruity and a little floral. Moist hay and a little cheese. Some smoked wood and cold steel. I'll leave it ...
      With a little time in the glass, the fruit looks fresher. Has something of a delicate raspberry spirit. A little bit of asphalt and apple cider vinegar. This freshness asserts itself more and more beautifully. Somehow has something summery about it. Candle wax and musk.
    • Taste
      Soft start. Then dryness and slight alcohol sharpness. It looks kind of dusty. Plus wood. Like breathing in while sawing wood. In the background, sweet, dried red berries. With the second sip, the slightly dull wax taste again. There is still something bright. So in the direction of mirabelle plums. Roasted aromas and it has something grainy, like cereals.
    • Finish
      Short to medium length. Slightly spicy sweetness. Pleasantly fruity with a bit of dusty wood
