    http://kaypingers-whiskyblog.de/frontend/fullarticle.php?id=190 Color: sunlight
Nose: Very creamy at the beginning with mild aromas of bergamot, lemon yoghurt, cream, butter, cream cheese and a little spice. Liquid honey with vanilla ice cream - without any piercing tips.
Taste: Very thin body (refractory to the nose), but with instant sharpness of lemon, cayenne pepper, chili peppers, ultra-salty, green notes and astringent herbs. A basket full of "Fisherman's Friend" - freshness spreads on the palate and stands up to creamy caramel notes. Wood is added and whirls up the now sweet freshness.
Finish: Long - fresh and spicy with herb wood and garden herbs. Still very salty towards the end. Fearful minutes later, the malt leaves with vanilla and lemon ice aromas.
    89 points (nose: 91 / taste: 88 / finish: 87)

Somewhat flakey. Feels as if my sample is on it`s peak already. Most
likey from a fresh opened bottle, this might behave differently and
needs to breathe, but mine seems to be most interesting the first few
minutes after pouring. Exceptional cask in any case.

Transferring previous Note (2012.01.25) content into a Tasting Note.
    • Nose
      nice sweetness
right away. White chocolate, ripe peach, honey, lemon, nice oak, fresh
clover (klee) & (light) grass, charred wood/smoke, an old book,
      light tree gum/liquid amber/baumharz. (93)
      A bit later: papaya & mango +/o, vanilla pods o, (92)
Later: More vanilla & some baked cookies (91)
      W
water: seems to bring lemon, pineapple, oak, grass & mineral notes
to the fore and seems not to help here as some of the more complex notes
      seem to disappear. (88)
W water later: beeswax comes up again, fruits turn more broad again, peach is back, also some tropic fruits (89)
    • Taste
Milk & white chocolate and an immediate fruit cocktail of fresh tropical fruits (92)
W water: similar here, slightly more oaky, a tad less fruity, but most of the previous notes are still around (91)
    • Finish
      Loooong.
More fruits, even slightly spicy mint on top with the alcohol showing
it`s warm & prickly head & more fruits, now candied, beeswax,
and again occasional tiny smoke trails (94)
      Later: Fruits turn cooked
now & altogether a bit heavier & slightly less dramtically
      changing. Also more malty & a tad milky/yeasty (91)
W water: still long, pleasant malt & lots of fruit, but less beeswax, also a slighly bitter oaky note occasionally. (89)

Same cask like ID 20796 but with standard back-label. The Cask are selected by Uwe Wagmueller and the bottles are only available to him at his shop Finest Whisky. Bottle number is 173 for both versions in summary.

What shall I say? Gorgeous. Unbelievable. A clear recommendation!
    • Nose
Warming with strong notes of vanilla, butterscotch cookies and apples. After a while some herbal tea is coming up as well. Very very tasty.
    • Taste
Powerful butterscotch, honey and vanilla bomb. Apple pie aroma, sugar cane and some spicy notes as well - white pepper. After a while I took a bigger mouthful and now I got lots of cherry liqueur as well. Excellent.
    • Finish
      Very long, warming and satisfying.

What a tomato! This distillery seldom holds single-barreled bottlings. This barrel has it all and is one of the best the Speyside has to offer.
    • Nose
Powerful, rich vanilla notes, dried fruit, very voluminous, great nose
    • Taste
creamy in consistency, Mon-cherie cherry, alcohol wonderfully integrated, soft, yet powerful.
    • Finish
Above average, again cherry, mixed with vanilla

Outstanding Tomatin and far ahead in his age.
    • Nose
Powerful, rich vanilla, dried fruit, very voluminous, just great.
    • Taste
creamy in consistency, mon-cherie-cherry, alcohol is wonderfully integrated, soft but still very powerful.
    • Finish
Above average length, again cherry mixed with vanilla
