Loch Lomond Inchmurrin 12 years, 46% alc. Original bottling (2020). Expansion: American oak barrels
Nose: Fruity and sweet, a lot of peach and a little apple compote, maybe pear, but the peach aroma keeps pushing its way. In addition, a little dry summer meadow, hay and very subtle cream. In the background there are mild spices, but so weak that they can hardly be described in more detail.
Palate: Fruity and slightly oily texture, the fruit is back immediately. Concentrated peach flavors, oranges and dried apricots, mirabelle plums. The creaminess also comes back, but here as a light caramel and vanilla.
Finish: Rather short, still mildly fruity, the spices now come out slightly. A slight aroma of black pepper remains.
Conclusion: Slightly structured whisky that knows how to convince with its fruity aromas. Round, harmonious and pleasant. 83/100 points (2021)
