The MOUNTDILLON release commemorates 71 years of commercial peat operations on our local bogs, and is a tribute to the workers from near and far who built careers, lives and communities in the midlands.
~Whiskey: 2016 Peated Malt, sourced from Great Northern Distillery
~ Maturation: 4 years in a first fill Bourbon Cask.
~ Tasting Notes:
Malt, freshly milled cereal and butter on the nose. A creamy , mouthfilling texture with notes of coffee and cherry on the palate. Light peat gives way to dark chocolate on the finish.
The name the Bridge series refers to path that connects Lough Ree to the point where we will be sharing our own Irish whiskey in the future.
