Nose: First of all, it smells like in a candy factory, sugar-sweet and fruity. Boiled strawberries, honeydew melon, lemon syrup, sweet cherry and sugar apricots. That sounds overloaded, but it is well interwoven. The Caperdonich calms down and light almond and honey aromas emerge, along with a hint of mango and canned tangerines.

Palate: fruity, malty, intense. The fruit flavors of the palate are found again, supplemented by bananas and coconut milk. I also find walnuts, almonds and caramel, some oak and cedar. The taste is rounded off by various spices, including ginger and pepper.

Finish: Long, continues the previous impressions. Fruity, spicy and lots of oak that doesn't seem bitter at all.

Conclusion: 20 years of aging in an honest bourbon hogshead, which developed wonderfully fruity/sweet aromas and at the same time brings a lot of oak with it. Really good bottling. 88/100 points (2022).
