Admittedly - here (again) a rather young spirit was drowned in sherry. However, the result is extremely tasty and multifaceted enough that the cola whiskys of the current color hype all green with envy.

Water does not necessarily have to be, because if you have occupied yourself with your nose for a leisurely hour, the oxidation makes it powerful, but no longer untamed.
    • Nose
      90 90
fat vanilla with fruity sherry and delicate smoke, behind it sit oak wood, raisins and oranges, earthy hazelnut nougat, baked apples, butter, St. Martin's biscuits, prunes, tea, some cherries and strawberries, banana and white peach, almond butter, candied citrus fruits , Dark chocolate, lots of runny honey with resinous hints, oily and salty notes of balsamic and moist tobacco
    • Taste
      90 90
sweet forest honey explodes, spicy oak with resinous notes of conifers, slightly bitter with salty cocoa reminiscences from the barrel wood, dry spices of cinnamon and cloves, vanilla, sherry and raisins, slightly oily with a little cardamom and traces of menthol, barley malt with a dollop of butter, walnut and almond butter , juicy cherries and ripe oranges, some dried dates and plums, green banana syrup, smoke is only very fine and subtle, tobacco
    • Finish
      89 89
warm, almost glowing, oily structure with tons of forest honey, ground cloves, oak wood and thick vanilla, sherry and zesty oranges, fine cocoa powder, pine needles, cinnamon, walnuts, pepper accents, leather and hints of salt

Extremely sharp and strong whisky. Yes, he was able to surprise me, he had so many bulging edges (until I added water).
    • Nose
      89 89
The prevailing sherry notes, dried tea rose, dried red carnation, prune jam boiling on the stove, bitter tones of barrel, smoke and varnish (with water it became much more rounded, all bulging corners smoothed out and became a single whole).
    • Taste
      88 88
Intense, concentrated sweet, bright, scalding, with bitter and varnish tones. So bright that you are afraid to breathe in through your mouth, because you have swallowed a fireball, the smoke from which has not yet cooled down. With water, it is soft and sweet, without aggression, round, delicate.
    • Finish
      88 88
As I wrote earlier, without water, the aftertaste is very difficult to survive: it is so bright and fiery, varnish and sharp, sweet and hot. But with water, sweet, enveloping, delicate. Long.

Fermented plum jam, humidor, vanilla, taiga honey, spices and lots of nuts (cashews, peanuts).
    • Taste
      87 87
Apricot pits, pepper, burnt sugar, mocha, oak.
    • Finish
      88 88
Nut-tobacco aftertaste. Long, dry. Some honey, malt and vanilla.

Pure anesthesia! If the aroma, even in a gentle mode, affects the receptors (of course, if you do not inhale to the fullest), then a sip of this "rocket fuel" paralyzes everything it can get to.
Whisky with such a strength is rare and in my opinion it is more of an experimental sample, since, despite its high quality, it is not comfortable to consume in quantity.
    • Nose
Prunes, strawberries, burnt toast, butter, a little raw dough and brine.
    • Taste
Shades of berries, warm apple pie and cinnamon.
    • Finish
Again berries, peppers, nuts and an astringent woody bitterness.

For me a great bunna. Dark, deep and heavy, but without going through as a sherry bomb, it transports a lot of the sherry. Does not look overloaded but convinces with a variety of flavors and harmonious transitions from start to finish.
    • Nose
      90 90
More and more intense sherry aromas. But it's not a real sherry bomb. Fresh plum jam, raisins, figs. In addition, dark honey sweetness with a little tree resin. Herbs and spices tickle your nose. Wood and furniture polish will follow. Lots of wood with a light pine note. There are also candied fruits after red berries. Some vanilla tobacco with hints of mocha emerge in the background. Every now and then it happens as if this malt also has a subtle smoky note. Unfortunately, it is not permanently present.

Almost 69% make it easy at first when it comes to dilution. Without water it's very hot, really spicy. Fruit and sweet malt are recognizable. Not much more comes first. But the smell is still great. You don't even notice the alcohol. No sting, nothing!
With water I find it much more accessible, opens up very nicely. Full mouthfeel, somewhat astringent. Sweet, more malt, dark dried fruit like raisins, figs, plums that come across as a bit dusty. In addition, cherries, strawberries and oranges give off a fresh, fruity character. Slightly tingling, spicy. There are black pepper, cloves, cinnamon and some marzipan. Nutty like a good hazelnut schnapps. Wood can also be felt here and has a slightly bitter note. Dark forest honey comes out again with a great integrated sweetness in the background. Fruits look a little candied with the second sip.
I didn't find any smoke on the palate.
    • Finish
      89 89
Medium-long finish, fruity, malt with vanilla. Tobacco and dark chocolate make something sweet and sticky. Coffee with sweetened creme brulee, brown cane sugar.
