  1. MaltMartin scored this whisky 90 points Connoisseur

According to Celtic Whisky Shop - who bottled it - this whisky It was first matured in a refill bourbon barrel before partly being decanted into an old solera (resized) sherry cask that previously matured Pedro Ximenez sweet sherry in July 2015.
    • Nose
Starts with classic sweet sherry profile; lots of lots of dried figs, dates, plums and blackberry jam. I even got strawberries. Hints of blood oranges at the background. Dark chocolate. Later on some nice tobacco notes, roasted nuts and moccha.
    • Taste
Now more on juicy forest fruits of redcurrants, raspberries and quinces. Old demerara rum. Raisins as well. Followed by roasted almonds. Spices of nutmeg, cinnamon and anise. Touch of pipe tobacco and cigar boxes. It's all very juicy though - in my view - a little thin on the mouth.
    • Finish
Medium long. A little black pepper. Some nuttiness. Clove. Pine at the end.

This whisky first matured in a refill bourbon barrel before being transferred to a PX sherry cask in July 2015. Dark sweet on dried figs, dates and blackcurrant jam. Original chocolate and roasted nuts. Mocha and tobacco. Very layered. All kinds of berries flavored in syrup, cinnamon and chewing tobacco. Succulent. Medium finish with some cloves and resin on the death bed. Wow, what a fantastic taste sensation. A delicious dessert.

  4. AmmitMitchum scored this whisky 96 points Expert Junior

Smooth, sweet, rich, heavy, full bodied, fruity... only thing - if it was CS or at least 46% it would be even more amazing.

  5. Izzino scored this whisky 97 points Connoisseur

Absolutely amazing, beautiful rich, sweet, dark fruit
