To all who feel the need to discuss ratings: this can be done in the groups section.

    As for the ratings:
    - We remove fake ratings (high and low).
    - We don't accept counter ratings (which are fake in our opinion)
    - We don't accept scores that are given to influence for any personal / business gain

We have removed over 20 ratings that are given to this bottle so far (high and low). More will follow.

Well well well. Again Ardbeg hype. I may try the whisky later this year. It should be possible to organize a dram. Then I will rate this whisky and write some notes.

The whisky was sold today by the Ardbeg Shop for 150 euros. This bottle doesn't need any special effort other than a little luck and the quick refreshing of some websites.

It's an absolute shame that there are so many market place sellers out there trying to make a few euros by selling that whisky for 50 or 100% more now. I have to express my deep disregard for this behavior.

Not a bad whisky but nothing special - a shame that this should be the goodbye for Mickey. 150 EUR is too much and all those who pay more are idiots. A sample was more than enough for me - I won't buy this botte.

Initially it smells of smoky roasted banana and western pear, and the nose feels a faint scent of rye bread. The sweet smell of vanilla toffee and star anise passing by.
The scent of orange and lemon brings out a charming and refreshing sense of pleasure.

The clear taste rises in the middle of the tongue, with banana, orange, and kiwi fruit. The same also transforms into star anise, smoky, toffee and distant fruit sour rye.

The long aftertaste lingers, confirming that Ardbeg is left in the mouth as usual, with a faint smoky taste.

Ratings for this bottle mean nothing I guess.
This is more of a war field rather than a review page.

A war between High raters and Low raters.

I was hoping for some real reviews.

The best thing about Ardbeg Arrrrrrrgh is its nose. You can really smell wonderful natural pineapple, but at the same time a clear ester note as an accessory. The alcohol lingers in the nose.
Palate: Strong, sharp burning. Short smoky notes and sweetness flash, only to ebb away all too quickly into nothing.
Finish: Slightly sweet and extremely mild smoky note and then it's over. Really very disappointing!
Personally, I have the feeling that Ardbeg now almost exclusively pushes whiskys without character out of the barrel in quick succession. Clearly more hype than substance!

only 350 euros on the marketplace!? You disappoint me very much! isn't that possible? come on !!!! do something !! I want to see the usual unrealistic prices again! try harder!

only 94 points!? I would have guessed 98! I would rate the whisky with 98 if I HAVE to sell the bottle for (in this case quite cheap) 350 euros out of money!

Be warrrrrrrned! To all the newbie-pirates out there who usually drink rum and are now misled by this brilliant Ardbeg marketing. The content of this bottle is most probably whisky and NOT RUM!
Just to avoid disappointed re-sellings... :-)
