Glen Grant is really great. The whisky literally melts on the tongue like a (chocolate) candy and the daisy effect is excellent - 19.05.2017
    • Nose
Apple, kiwi, green pear, freshly cut ginger, watermelon, the maltiness does not penetrate as well as expected, skin of chestnuts, clover, floral, buttercups, daisies
    • Taste
Only sweet and oily, becomes over time strong and slightly peppery and dry, spicy, the oak barrel pushes a little bit and provides bitterness but at the end remains a slightly spicy honey note
    • Finish
      medium

Worthwhile bottling for beautiful, uncomplicated whisky moments :)
The neck pour is pretty good. Let's see what other moments will come.
    • Nose
      85 85
Almond biscuits, lemon wedges and homemade bouillon as well as sweet and spicy heather and honey aromas.
Okay to oaky, but not flabbergasting.
    • Taste
      87 87
      Fruity, dry, good value, etc.;)
Smooth, oily, with delicious round, ripe lemon and enough honey to balance the sweet and sour.
    • Finish
      86 86
Quite long and with a mixture of spices such as cinnamon, a little ginger and pear and apple peel.

  3. Malzbrenner scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

A beautiful and fresh malt that makes a lot of fun in the summer months. Nicely structured and juicy!
    • Nose
      88 88
The color shows pale gold, the windows let hope for a beautiful body. The first crawl in lemon, hay, herbs, some banana and a beautiful blossom honey note. Mint comes through and makes the whisky look very fresh. Green apples and a little wax.
    • Taste
      87 87
Vanilla sweetness, fruity, cereal notes, some mint, oily and full-bodied. Fresh lemon notes and green apples.
    • Finish
      85 85
Sweetness, a nice grain note, herbs ...
      A medium-length finish.

  4. Calmar scored this whisky 84 points Connoisseur

Simple enough, a quality mole, sparse, light, but boring.
    • Nose
Non-bright, fruit-berry, green apples, mineral tones, not spirtuzen.
    • Taste
Sour-sweet, fruity, spices, lemon peel, light oak bitterness, creamy tones, rather monotonous and simple.
    • Finish
Long, sweetish pepper, with light sourness from green apples.

  7. Kantenmechaniker scored this whisky 83 points Connoisseur

No wrong notes, quite drinkable, but unfortunately not exciting either, good calibration paint before a tasting
    • Nose
Great fruit basket, vanilla, creamy, apples, some oak behind it, almonds, lime peel, some honey, marzipan, some Bircher muesli, slight acidity, with time you can smell behind the fruit coat
    • Taste
Sparkling start, fruity, malt, apple, vanilla, grain, light sweetness, pear, ripe fruit, creamy, not too intense
    • Finish
Fruity, juicy, pear, oak, slightly dark, slightly sweet, medium length, slightly nutty

  9. ffmdino did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

solid malt, but too bitter for me
    • Nose
Apple that turns brown, minimal smoke, light fruit, tangerines, waffle (the simple ones from the ice cream parlor), cinnamon comes, dark caramel, sweetness increases, the simple sweet chewing gums, light oak, dark malt
      later comes vanilla
    • Taste
full and strong on the palate
Oak (freshly broken branch), spicy, slightly dark caramel, tart, minimal smoke, light fruit
    • Finish
      medium long
Oak becomes more, warm, tart, slightly astringent

  10. ballunder scored this whisky 80 points Member Senior

    N: Fruity, winey, green apples
P: Quite crisp. A little tangy. Shades of Balblair. Some cream comes through
    F: V clean. Short.

Decent but a little too light for my palette these days
