I’m quite sure this is late 70’s distillate and hence early 90’s bottling.Nose: A little musty, faint sherry notes. Some tropical fruit notes. Papaya and Pineapple. Faint peat. Slightly floral. But no soapy FWP. Oh no! And thanks God.Taste: Sweet icing sugar. Fruity (Tropical). Nutmeg, vanilla and cinnamon. Slighty smoky. Gets a little drier with some peat and wood spices towards the end.
Finish: Medium. Sweet, fruity and spicy. More or less the palate that faints away.
Nice to have an old bottle like this. Better that the modern 12 for sure. But not that much.
