Whisky Reviews for Bowmore Mariner
3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 85.21 points
- It's pretty soft and drinkable. Actually one of my favorite Bowmores that were once a regular bottling. Very good!
Smoky, salty, sea breeze, little lemony, grassy, nutty, green bananas
Soft smoky and peaty, citrusy, lemony, balanced sweetness with wood notes
Medium long and smooth
- I had to get used to this one, not as straight forward as other Islay drams like Ardbeg, but one to keep trying over and over again.
It took me about 5 tries, and the first time I hated the explosion of salt in the taste, but now it's one of my favourite drams.
Nutty, cinnamon. Aroma grasps you straight from the start, not a soft fruity one, but a nose opener.
Little vanilla flavour, but mostly bold salty peat that holds the sides of your throath in a glowing heat.
Soft, strangely soft. After the first blow of the typical Bowmore Islay taste, it cools down in your mouth and stays softly glowing in your mouth and throat.
