I really don't see what others see in this whisky. It is harsh and unbalanced. Adding water helps to a point but it is still hot.

      Not much there.

Some fruits. I almost would have said this was a second or third fill sherry cask. But a lot of heat even after adding water and waiting a while.

Moderately long. Getting some old books. But my mouth is still burning from the heat. Perhaps the best part of this whisky.

corking dram, blueberries and red fruits, refined and graceful. always puts a big smile on my face

Complex flavors on the nose. Fruity and floral with just a hint of Sulphur. Just the nose along could take me 20min to explore.
Blue berry candy sweet and a little lemon tart on the finish. The long citrus finish went from lemon tart to just the hint of tannins without turning into old leather.
If I was drinking this blind, I probably would of guess it was a lot older since all the flavors were all nicely balanced. Rich but not overly sharp. What an amazing pour. Thanks Knights!

This most esteemed Edradour presents explicitly exotic esters from the onset, with a glorious bouquet of blackberry soft serve and French Oak tannins, wholly magnified on both primary and secondary nosings. Upon mouth entry, a velvety wave of Petit Verdot washes over the taste goblet, accompanied by a backdrop of eggnog and white cinnamon in a synergistic one-two palate punch. The finish is a savorous stunner, adding Rakamelo and bramble fruit cobbler to the dram-denouement of this most noble of Edradourian Graals.
    • Nose
Blackberry soft serve ice cream, honey on fresh bread, French Oak wine barrels.
    • Taste
Petit Verdot, eggnog, white cinnamon, blueberry pie with double cream.
    • Finish
Rakamelo, bramble fruit cobbler and warming Goat’s Milk, constricted tannins.
