"Whisky Freiheit 1848 Cabertin Cask 45% Alk. Vol."
Our Cabertin Cask Whisky is stored in an aperitif wine barrel made from the Cabertin grape variety. Cabertin is a very fruity-tasting grape variety. The production of aperitif wine is equivalent to that of port wine. The whisky becomes mild, but in no way loses its character. It is characterized by a particularly dark red shade and by its full-bodied fruit notes of cherry and red grape.
Our whisky is not cold filtered to express the full taste.
The aperitif wine is produced in our Sekthaus Griesel & Compagnie in Bensheim. The aperitif wine was irradiated with Buddhist meditation music for several days.
Appearance: copper like the still in which it is distilled.
Smell: Smells of cherry blossoms with honey, marzipan and hay.
Taste: Initially cherry marzipan with malt, later sultanas with orange peel. In the finish, taste of bread crust with cherry pit.
