The Uncharted Whisky Co is delighted to unveil our first ever bottling- a stunning 16 year old single malt scotch whisky distilled in an Orkney distillery- Teenage Kicks.
This unique cask harks from the stormy shores of Orkney and will deliver less than 395 from a single exceptional Hogshead. At the perfect age of sweet sixteen, this Orcadian whisky packs a serious teenage kick with a rich, sweet and cereal nose followed by a headstrong but mature and balanced palate.
Release is scheduled for March 2021.

WHY THE NAME – TEENAGE KICKS?
We give all of our releases a name that befits them. This magnificent dram is bottled at the perfect age of sweet sixteen. A teen spirit kick but old enough to make life lasting memories. It is bold, intense, brimming with attitude and brings to the palate a complexity of undertones (geddit?). Bottled at the punchy 50% ABV- this single hogshead is a Teenage Kick in a bottle.
Please savour this dram and the moment it brings. As with all good things in life, blink and you’ll miss it.
WHICH DISTILLERY?
The question on everyone’s lips…. and one we can’t answer! There are two famous single malt distilleries on Orkney and we are not allowed to disclose which of the two distilleries that this release came from. This expression is the perfect age of sweet Sixteen, an age now lost from the ranges of Orkney malts. Feel free to have a guess once you’ve tasted it!
TASTING NOTES
POWDERED SUGAR, SAVOURY CEREAL & BIG HITTING SPICE
Nose
Bold and spicy front gives way to sweet cereals and the merest wisp of char.
Palate
A huge kick of full-bodied spice is followed by brown sugar, caramel and soft white fruit. A dash of water mellows the pepper to give way to more cereal and barley notes alongside fudge and floral incense.
Finish
The spice lingers on the palette interwoven with a delicate sweetness and complex undertones.
