No sherry bomb to be found here.
The nose has yellow, sweet sherry, with a certain saltiness that makes me think of Manzanilla actually. Vanilla, sweetness, elegance. Maybe some ginger and toffee. Buttery quality to it - melted salted butter, very subtle. Dusty. Brown sugar. Sweet liquorice.
On the palate, very heavy viscosity. Old school. Creamy. Again yellow sherry, and again slightly Manzanilla/Fino-like with the saltiness. Could this be a Manzanilla cask? Hm.
Light mint or camphor.
Complexities continue. Fantastic. Very rewarding.
