N: Nutty, malty, ice-cream wafer and cooked pears with good age - alongside some [hot], peppery/leathery/rubbery, gluey spirit.
T: Very consistent and crisp delivery, with a silky, runny honeyed body. Its more oily with water and a touch more peppery. Long stretched out development with a large mix of undefined oak and ropey spirit which quickly becomes tedious.
F: The malt comes through after a long unravel due to the oaky spirit that takes its time to die down. Quickly dissipates.
C: A case of ropey casks well hidden behind some calibre ones.

    Scores a C-

A rare old bottle of Balmoral 15 year old, specially bottled for the Queen`s

Balmoral Estate. Even though Royal Lochnagar distillery is located within the

estate itself, this bottling was distilled some 200 miles away at Springbank in

    Campbeltown
