with more water, more sweetness comes out - here you have to play a little with water to find the right ratio.
Without water it would be too strong for me personally - I already had higher percentages that were "softer".
In short: it is really not bad, but it is also not the ultimate hammer.
[85 - 81 = delicious -> get a second bottle if price is within the range] - with the PLV there is therefore a point deduction for me.

Alcohol stings your nose right away, but then sits down again.
Then sherry tones of plums, dates, figs with a slight sweetness, but also a slight acidity - that is well balanced.
I also have light, ripe fruits: apple and apricot.
Behind it, the typical HP heather smoke opens up (present and clearly perceptible, but rather light in nature) and gives it a very nice complexity.
In addition, there are spicy notes of cinnamon and nutmeg.
With a few drops of water: it becomes a bit more herbal and floral in the nose. The fruits are still clearly visible. -
sweet, soft start, but it develops a decent thump right away - it can take water well.
Creamy, viscous mouthfeel. The fruits come across mainly in the form of sweetness, it dries up quite quickly.
A bitter note takes over the taste (type dark men's chocolate with plenty of cocoa / strong espresso); but he does not swerve into bitterness!
Second sip: the HP heather shows up more clearly, but without changing into a smoky note. Dark chocolate, dark flavors. -
medium-long finish with the fruits. The spiciness is noticeable, but then visibly disappears. The heather stays much longer and fills the mouth again.
What remains is a rather dry mouthfeel and a tongue that is covered with (oak) tannins.
