    Quick hit review.

Tasted side by side with North of Scotland 1970 FW (WB34386). Confectionery, herbal teas and hints of marzipan enchant the nose, rounded off by cocoa powder and walnut cake. Superb first impression. Complex wood spices, sage and chocolate mingle on the palate, defying the light mouthfeel. The medium finish fades on cinnamon, vanilla cream and maply syrup. A wonderful grain, although the low ABV doesn't go unnoticed.

    Nose: blackcurrant liquorice, cocoa powder
    Palate: vanilla fudge
    Finish: more vanilla

    One dimensional yet enjoyable

Tasted blind as part of Wings and Whisky- Age statement. This was no.10 so should probably be revisited on its own.
