Whisky Reviews for Imperial 1991 GM

- Full, slightly smoked (wood smoke) Speysider. Somewhat old-fashioned, but very fine.
- This was my first Imperial ever, back in 2010. The palate is better than the nose in my opinion. Harder to get because of its demolished status.
Starts malty. Dry hay. Heather. Lemon pie as well. Violet. Hints of sulphur. Some soap at the background.
More fruity and punchy sweetness now of pear and lemon. Quite syrupy. Toasted oak. Vanilla and honey.
Not that long. Dry. A little pepper. Nutiness.
Fruity nose with sweet vanilla and honey, fresh grain and a very vague hint of lemon
Barley and herbs with a slightly bitter taste of pears.
Short to medium long going from bitter pears towards bitter almonds
Sweet and honeyed. Cereal grains. Stewed pears. Bread.
Malted barley. Honey and sugar. Soft spices. Smoked chestnuts.
Sweet, but rather short. Biscuit dough.
