- powerful qc influence, delicious stuff.
- The bottling meets my personal taste and the issue price is reasonable. Bourbon barrel and sherry quarter cask harmonize very well here and the alcohol is well integrated.
The slightly chocolaty sweetness of the Sherry Quarter Casks harmonizes perfectly with the vanilla note of the Bourbon barrel. A bit of cream candy is also included. A few minutes in the glass are good for this bottling, in order to discover further, finer aromas the second time. The 53.1 percent alcohol by volume is nicely integrated. After a while, there are also subtle fruity notes.
On the tongue, the alcohol content shows up for a brief moment with a pleasantly medium-strong start, then to give way to the sweet aromas of the sherry cask and a pleasant, slightly dry mouthfeel. Excellent! Exactly my taste.
In the finish, the ex-bourbon barrel note comes to the fore again and goes very well with the character of the Sherry Quarter Cask. A fine unpeated malt that does not come along with a mallet and can especially inspire fans of non-smoky bottlings with notes of vanilla and fruit sweetness.
