I love this drop, a big THANK YOU to Michel Reick and his palate. I'm very happy to have got hold of another bottle for my 'best of collection'!

    Addendum after 4 months:
Thick, heavy, oily, full of dark fruits such as plums, dates soaked in used oil pour into the glass - it is also a great taste experience when diluted with a little water to around 44-46%. Worth every penny and too good for my living bottle.
    • Nose
      92 92
A very full aroma penetrates the nose, full of sherry, nuts, toffee, vanilla. The gentle smoke is very mild and pleasant, followed by tobacco and leather

Less than a week after the opening and first tasting, I have a second dram. The cherry is even more concise, but what absolutely excites me is the freshly opened cigar box flowing towards me. Dark chocolate is added to this, what more do you need for a successful gentlemen's evening? Delicious, I'll raise my nose rating to 92.
    • Taste
      92 92
Mild wood, leather, cherry, followed by toffee notes and chocolate. Delicious! After a few months and with a filling level of 50%, the vanilla becomes more concise and a hint of smoked paprika is added

You don't notice the 57.6% at all, it is mouth-filling but not aggressive. It spreads thick and oily and stays in the mouth and throat for a long time

The best Highland Park I've ever had in my glass, thank you very much for this bottling! In contrast, the 25y was a real disappointment

With plenty of water and in large gulps, it works quite well.
But the druid didn't really convince me: It looks very inharmonious. Distillate and barrel influence are not really in harmony. The finish in the PX barrel could save, but a 90-point malt is not for me.
    • Nose
      87 87
First of all, the alcohol pokes your nose.
If you smell past it, aromas emerge that make the druid appear much older than declared. I have less fruit on my nose, but rather old leather, nuts and tobacco. A light smoky note and oak spice are also present. If fruity, pickled plums and mushy dates.
    • Taste
      86 86
A trace of fruitiness in the mouth, but without really being able to grasp it. Maybe raisins, but the spicy oak follows pretty quickly. Initially, I think the druid is also quite sharp, which is regulated with the addition of water:
Dilute it down nicely and then enjoy in large sips: dark chocolate, morello cherries, rum raisins, leather. Yes that's how it works.
    • Finish
      85 85
In the finish, despite the water, it sizzles with a hint of smoke.
Well diluted down and in large sips the taste continues in the finish. Short to medium length.

Another young colleague, with spicy alcohol in the nose and mouth, and bitter oak notes. One sample is enough.

Sweet sherry notes can be felt on the nose and the gentle Highland Park smoke emerges clearly. The sweetness of the PX is there, nuttiness is there, but not as evident as with Oloroso. The smoke notes are also clear in the taste, but differ significantly from Islay smoke. In the Original Highland Park the smoke is gentler, here it is more complex.
A very tasty, strong whisky that clearly surpasses some of the original bottlings.

    • Nose
      92 92
Strawberries, raspberries, lots of nice sweetness, leather, rum raisins, light heather notes

In the beginning a lot of alcohol, if he stands longer he is better involved
    • Taste
      90 90
Heavy sweetness, oak, leather, berries, chocolate and nuts
    • Finish
      90 90
Dry sweetness is retained for a long time, followed by nuts and chocolate
