Well-balanced nose on the sweet-nutty side, on the palate the spice sets in too early in my opinion and ends with an artificial bitterness. An exit as such is practically non-existent. Due to the early onset of oak aromas, any existing aromas are nipped in the bud. I really didn't expect a complex composition here, but for me personally this whiskey is neither tasty nor pleasing but remains largely pale and tart - 07.01.2021
    • Nose

Marzipan, light roasted aromas, pale citrus notes, orange peel, red berries, raspberry, pine wood in the background, overall very round and without any disturbing off notes
    • Taste
      81 81
Creamy, tart, fresh ginger, a little lemon zest, oak spice

First impression: tasty, tasty, pleasing, not too complicated, fair price, round and carefully created. The subtle sherry barrel influence is noticeable, the fruity-light and pleasantly sweet-spicy character knows how to convince. The finish is a little bit too bitter and monotonous, but only slightly reduces the experience.

Delicious! You can't go wrong with that.
    • Nose
      84 84
Fresh, floral, juicy citrus notes, some vanilla, slightly pleasant spice, light, spicy wood, tangy orange, light dried fruits, pleasant roasted aromas, very delicate fruity and dry sherry notes, slightly creamy sweetness, light fruits.

Pleasant and tasty, makes you want to try.
    • Taste
      83 83
Fresh citrus notes, oranges, light spicy wood, some vanilla, caramel, removes dried fruits, fresh and a little bit tart, floral, fresh summer fruits, over time the citrus fruits change into slightly tart aromas
    • Finish
      81 81
Tart, slightly dry, somewhat flat, wet wood, removes light, light fruit notes, somewhat tart lemon peel, very slight tendency towards bitterness. Overall a bit too bitter and monotonous.

Tasting over a period of 50 days.
Lots of bourbon cask with Speyside, no sherry cask influence. Weaker than e.g. Gold Cock 12yo and especially Glen Grant 10yo.
Overall, a bit irrelevant and too expensive. In the Scotch Sour ok
    • Nose
      81 81
some oak, moderate amounts of fruit, spices, malt, distinct sweetness with vanilla and caramel, then also citrus
    • Taste
      82 82
tasty, tasty with a nice powerful start, but without complexity, details like nosing.
Nothing else to be felt from the sherry barrels except perhaps the oak spice with a little "muff" from older barrels
    • Finish
      79 79
Napp of medium length, drier and sometimes a bit bitter and "scratchy", fruit and sweetness fade quite quickly

A good thing at a price of 35 euros.
    • Nose
      82 82
Very fresh with clear citrus notes, light sweat, grasses, menthol, light spice and very little sherry (leather).
    • Taste
      81 81
Vanilla, orange, a little pepper, very light sherry influence. Surprisingly bitter start, that doesn't quite fit, but still very tasty.
    • Finish
      83 83
Medium long, dry, a bit bitter, surprisingly less than in the mouth before, that fits.

Fresh, lots of citrus and vanilla, a little caramel and a hint of oak. A round thing that is easy to drink. Really great for the price.
