WhiskeyJason & Julia Nourney dazzled this charity bottling at the Sauerländer Edelbrennerei and the entire proceeds minus VAT and costs for bottles, labels, shipping etc. were transferred to Strahlemännchen eV for children with cancer.

Conclusion: The first blended malt from German distilleries and then also as a charity bottling, you just can't say no and a bottle just has to move in with me. I think WhiskeyJason's action is really remarkable and I take my hat off to him for this action. The bottling could definitely have been marketed commercially, but the entire proceeds were donated to a good cause. Chapeau and a really grandiose action !! The blended malt also tastes fantastic. A wonderful sweetness paired with a light fruitiness. Overall, I find it really complex and it shows what is really in German distilleries. The alcohol is well integrated, even if you could certainly have bottled it at drinking strength. I'm looking forward to the second bottling and will definitely buy again. Again, a big thank you to WhiskeyJason and everyone who contributed to this bottling, you have my greatest respect.

The malt starts fruity in the glass, even if the fruit is a bit sour, more like a really green and unripe apple, gooseberries, also in the direction of rhubarb, these fruits are carried by a wonderful sweetness of butterscotch, toffee candies, grilled Marshmallows, cotton candy and rape blossom honey, the higher alcohol content is noticeable in the nose and triggers a slight cooling, which is reminiscent of mint and menthol, with more time in the glass the blended malt becomes more and more creamy, melted butter, fresh popcorn in the cinema, creme brulee with heavily caramelized sugar, light mineral notes after fresh rain on slate stones, with water the aroma continues to appear, but more citrus notes come out, lemon tests, lime juice, brownies with caramel sauce, multivitamin sweets, slightly salty notes (wherever they come from) Sea salt, light liquorice moments, apple pie
The taste also shows this incredible sweetness, almost like a liqueur, grilled marshmallows, cake icing, cotton candy, really nice and creamy like melted butter, really buttery popcorn, creme brûlée with caramelized sugar, really nice fruity, but also slightly bitter, apricot compote, Red cherries from the can, the alcohol is also noticeable on the tongue and is reminiscent of chilli and white ground pepper, grandma’s freshly boiled vanilla pudding, with caramel candies, butterscotch, chopped hazelnuts, apple pie, multivitamin candies from Nimm2, the light salty ones are also evident here Moments of salted caramel, chocolate brownies with caramel, alpine milk chocolate
The finish is long and is carried by the sweetness and fruitiness, whereby the fruit also tends to be sour like gooseberry, rhubarb, green apple, nice caramel notes and vanilla pudding, plus the chocolate brownies and milk chocolate, slightly bitter like hazelnuts, walnuts , roasted almonds, salty liquorice
