A whole new range under a partly different name. Enough color to be found in these new strictly limited bottles that’s for sure.
    • Nose
Heavy nose. Very heavy on the alcohol initially. This needs time to settle down. Once it does: cherries allover the place, pine tree forest and wood rasin. Orange peel and tea spices. Neither very complex nor very surprising. On the one hand it’s nice, on the other quite disturbed. Alcohol is not very well integrated.
    • Taste
On the palate it is surprisingly soft, smooth and friendly. Sweet, gentle creamy and a little later bitter dry red wine notes. Red grapes/raisins. Some salty notes and a Dutch coffee-caramel candy called hopjes.
    • Finish
Surprisingly short. The color could make you think otherwise. Rooibos tea spices, forest flavors and cherry candy.

This is a typical ‘trendy’ whisky. Not my cup of tea. It lacks complexity, depth and balance. Dark colored & rather young & restless. For me another clear example that color doesn’t mean a damn thing.

The initial impression on the nose was lots of caramel and sweets. Mainly caramel i've never had this much caramel.
The taste is red dried fruits and caramel. Very unusual but i really like it.

Lots of sweetness. Buttery caramel and red fruits

Best part of this dram. smoothly balanced with still the buttery caramel, followed by the red fruit and tannines, raisins and a nice bit of oak

Not bad but a little short with lots of spicy peppers. However, in the end some red fruits pop up again with a bit of tannines

A wine malt that I liked.
It was nice to meet this malt.
Saturated, thick, fragrant, moderately sharp, I wonder what it would be at a higher degree.
    I recommend!
