- Balmenach 26y 1983/2010, 52.8%, Bladnoch Forum, cask 2410, 201 bottles Fresh, pleasant nose on floral and fruity elements. Apples, peaches. Honey too and a slight granularity. The taste is oily and on the bitter side (nuts, coffee, licorice), but without disturbing, the honey and fruit compensate more than enough. Sturdy and rather dry finish, but here too some fruit that ensures that the balance does not tilt too much to the dry. Far from this Balmenach. 82/100 http://onversneden.com/2011/03/07/balmenach-26y-1983-bladnoch-forum/
- not bad at all, nice dram
flowers and fruits, that's the first impression, soms peaches, apples, honey, grains, sort of muesli - feeling
honey and fruit, a tad bitter, sort oiliness, pretty nice
ok, strong, rather dry
Nose is filled with strong alcohol, surprisingly at this age. Notes of flowers, melon, fruits and citrus are noticeable. It seems smooth and rather sweet.
Taste is smooth, relatively dry with a lot of fruity sweetness. Hints of melon, gooseberry, honey and herbal spices.
Medium long, but very creamy, sweet, fruity with hints of light coffee.
