Whisky Reviews for Spice King Blended Malt Scotch Whisky Wy

- Nose: coastal style, herbs, apples, spices.
Mouth: fine balance, again herbs, salty, much more balanced than "The Hive".
Conclusion: I like it very much, it has the Old Pulteney style ...
A very good blend for the price!
- First impression: pleasant malt with an edgy taste profile. Nevertheless, I would describe the "Spices" of the Spice King as slightly tart herbal notes with a mineral-earthy touch rather than the expected spices or the expected dominant spicy character.
I think I have to try it 1-2 more times to get an overall picture.
Distinct herbal note, sometimes you think you can perceive smoke-like associations, light citrus touch, light dark honey sweetness, something mineral and slightly earthy is hidden in the background
Pleasantly spicy, slightly damp wood, here too a very subtle herbal note, light citrus notes, also slightly earthy and mineral
Very pleasant, slightly spicy on the throat, somewhat flat and short. Still very smooth and woody-mineral.
