nice wine finish, but you have to like the wood in the end though
    • Nose
candied apple, deep sweet red berry fruit (cooked, jammy), clear red wine (fruity floral) with light fruit acid (passion fruit), spicy-sweet maple syrup, tropical wood, tobacco, cappuccino powder with slightly marshy tannins
    • Taste
dry wine notes, fruity sweet orange zest, berry jam (currant), Demerara sugar, cinnamon
    • Finish
extremely dry, spicy wood (pronounced red wine barrel impact), dark dark chocolate, coffee

A round, nice Benriach, not as extraordinary as I am at Claret. would have expected, the wine notes go through well, but I'm not a friend of these lightweight Modernoten and humid oak. Still good thing!
    • Nose
Somewhat musty red wine note, damp wood, cherries, gummi berries (red), resin, cinnamon, herbal honey, nutmeg
    • Taste
Very round, the cherries come again, the wet oak as well, red grapes, plums, stollen, gingerbread, cinnamon, nutmeg, many tannins
    • Finish
Dry fruity finish with some spicy oak, the cherry pits are left behind with some fruit and oak barrel

Nose: sweet, vanilla, soft round red wine notes with cinnamon, fresh acidity like gummy bears, tart wood notes, red berries, ripe cherries, some wax - refreshingly different
Taste: round, smooth, sweet, alcoholic without burning, cherries, grapes, plums, cinnamon, some wood, red wine fruit notes, interesting and very yummy - tastes better today than at the first tasting, I would blindly not immediately recognize as Benriach, only in the finish, the Brennereicharakter comes through
