Batch 3 has a slightly sweeter flavor than the previous batch. On the other hand, Batch 2 could come across a bit spicier on the nose.
Overall, the two batches are very, very similar:
absolutely similar in terms of aroma, taste, aftertaste, only nuances shift here and there. Unfortunately, I don't know batch 1.
If you only want this Nc'Nean as a "drinking whisky", you can choose between batch 2 and 3 - in my opinion they are so similar that it makes no difference.
If you want to collect it, please ... there are enough (at least in German shops), Batch 4 is also currently being bottled; that makes about 20,000 bottles, so everyone should be able to get something. And the current price between 50 and 55 is 'humane' for the first release, even if that was split into several batches.

Citrus-fresh aromas, tart grapefruit. Behind it powdered sugar / cotton candy sweetness.
Batch 3 is also quite floral again. The grape note from the STR wine barrel is also there.
Batch 2 seemed a bit more spicy, although Batch 3 also has spicy flavors, so they are a tad less for me.

here the oak is full again. In the first few seconds there was also an umami note, but it quickly evaporated.
Again good peppery, but the taste is a little more sweet than in Batch 2.
When I exhale through my nose I now have notes of vanilla, which I didn't have in Batch 2 (?).

Also quite short. The peppery (oak) spice tingles on the palate for a while.

Really promising if you take the age into consideration. Nice notes of flowers and summerly grain. Vanilla, gooseberries, peaches and other premature domestic stonefruit. Nice impression of freshly cut wood and wonderful subtle coastal influence in the background. Really skilfully and technically well done....

Hääää 3 years? hard to believe, also because it is not even in barrel strength, but still presents itself as an adult ...
I am convinced that great things are still to come. Please keep it up Annabel.

SMELL wonderful with vanilla, lemon, hay, plum cake and spicy oak. TASTE Creamy texture with vanilla, wild berries, cereals, pear jam, black tea with rock candy and chocolate. In the ABGANG gooseberry jam, flavorful with vanilla.

    • Taste
green apple, honey, caramel, a little lemon, a little grapefruit, a bit of fresh wood in the finish, becomes slightly bitter at the back, a little pepper

A balanced young malt, which is suitable as a pleasing soup, but reveals a very tense inner life on closer inspection. I like the fact that the 2/3 red wine barrel influence is very cleverly integrated, so that their influence is never overpowering, but instead a stimulating interplay of sour-sour-spicy moments and vanilla-sweet-creamy impressions is created, with the always very clear fruit alternates again and again between light windfalls and grapes. It's great how harmoniously these two sides combine to create a harmonious overall impression.

Crunchy, fruity young wine. Lively, bright fruit. Modeling clay, plus a few pencil shavings. Red pepper. Also a few muted bitter aspects. Grain in a mashed form, in the direction of porridge. What I like a lot: it has an aromatic sweetness that is very subtle and natural, also slightly floral. After a little longer standing, paradise apples and white chocolate-coated grapes come to mind. From there I come back to apple cider, and then I'm back to the beginning, with the wine flavors. An appealing nose.

Fruity. Sweet raw dough. Tart fruit. Then comes wood, which contains both vanilla and toasty aspects as well as more concise and spicy parts, which presumably come from the red wine barrels. A really full mouthfeel, but always smooth and fresh.

Sparkling and juicy. The flow of saliva is stimulated. Lots of apple and pear fruit, with vanilla pudding. Then again red wine notes, which are - really nice - for me almost completely free of harsh tannins or unpleasant bitterness. Here, too, the focus is on the fruit. Finally, I feel a bit of European wood spice, but it really only has a subtle supportive effect and gives the Nc'nean a nice structure.
