- Subtle and rich but the wood is slightly overpowered. Expected a bit more due to the age, however it's still a proper dram. Especially in this price range.
A whiff of citrus freshness, but it disappears quite soon once it's opened up. Dried fruit notes with some honey and cacao. Sultana biscuits and a touch of hay.
Sultana biscuits again with some more dried fruits and cacao. Quite light mouthfeel with a bite of oak.
Cacao and oak.
- I don't like it that much today, the 18 is a very clear step more intense and tasty, this one is older on paper, but a tad weaker in terms of aroma, just too little intense, too "flat", despite the recognizable age notes .
light and fleeting, sweetish, some oak, light fruits, a very flat and fleeting nose compared to the 18, albeit with fine fruit aromas and a certain note of maturity.
sweetish, tart, oak spiciness, quite pleasant so far, not as tart as expected. But even here not the big aromatic range.
rather short, very nice, some wood, a few fruits, some astringent mintiness.
