Smells very fruity, ripe, bourbon-heavy and very harmonious - nothing stands out. Green apple, citrus in the background. Not super complex, but qualitatively like an 18 year old whisky with 46% should be. I still have flowery violets.

Wow, wonderfully delicious, sweet flowers, violets, roses, summer forest fairy tales, but a little too short. The middle part is kind of super wide for a certain moment and really good cinema.
Nothing bothers you here - the harmony is perfect.

Remains buttery on the palate, subtle, but at least.

Very good taste but also somehow nothing half and nothing whole. The aromas appear timid and reserved. The different types of casks and finishes almost cancel each other out or hinder each other. All in all a shame, I expected more.
    • Nose
In the nose, the EX-BC character slightly predominates for me. Vanilla and honey, slightly tart citrus / lemnon notes with a bit of grassy, floral aromas of fresh hay, freshly baked bread. In the background there are still fruity-sweet plums, raisins, orange peel, sour currants with cinnamon. A subtle note of wood with chocolate then pushes forward.
All of this evaporates quickly or the different aromas of the different barrels cancel each other out. It's actually a shame because it got off to a good start.
    • Taste
Soft, oily, a bit tingling, peppery sharpness with a rather pleasant spiciness determine the first impression. There is also a fruit cocktail with a few exotic fruits like pineapple, mango and melons. There is something like rum-grape-nut chocolate.
    • Finish
Medium-long finish, sweet and fruity, spicy, some coffee
