No water. Finish on this one is fruity and complex.
    Deep Amber colour.
    • Nose
Light to medium. Candy apple, galia melon, amarena cherry, overripe banana, olive oil, pine honey, aromatic wood, violets
cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, crushed almonds, pronounced notes of chocolate praline, wet grass
    • Taste
Sweet, pillowy; various kinds of fruit candy, red berries, green grass, camphor, a little phenolic touch even.
With a very clear, tannic edge to it. Bourbony oak. Cinnamon, nutmeg, green pepper...
    • Finish
Medium and juicy, fresh cherries, strawberries, roasted oolong, a touch of spice. Nougat and vanilla.

    From Whiskyfun:

Linkwood 16yo 1990/2007 (49,3%, Adelphi, cask #9733, 269 bottles) Colour: full gold. Nose: oh, this is interesting, this one smells much waxier and even more phenolic than most Linkwoods we could try. Notes of linseed oil, paraffin, olive oil... It gets then more vegetal and a little resinous (pine needles), then more candied and jammy (very ripe yellow plums, honey sauce), and finally very minty, with big notes of a pack of mint drops that you just opened. Also dried flowers, roses... Oh, and also a beautifully balanced sherry in the background, probably second fill. This is very beautiful. Mouth: oh yes this is beautiful, sweet like a candy store but firm like, like... Whatever. A true hotchpotch of various jams, honeys, sweets, jellies, pastries, and spices. Only the finish is maybe a little less assertive and a little simpler, more on ‘simple’ caramel and honey. One for Hansel und Gretel? 90 points

  3. Pépé scored this whisky 85 points Expert Junior

A malt on stone fruits too alcoholic, false notes and too aggressive.
Edit 2nd pass: a woody whisky, minty, sweetened with some fruits. Too much alcohol. Mouth enough alive. 83 => 85
    • Nose
Blind session : A whisky worn on yellow fruits, quite alcoholic. More and more same. It has a rubbery side, a chemical glue side that is not great. Mirabelle plum and other fruits that seem to ripen at speed V in the glass.
    • Taste
First on the cereal and slightly fruity, then comes with force the coconut, really.
    • Finish
      Rather short.

Very nice whisky, very complex. He was more and more expressive as he warmed himself in the glass
    • Nose
Wax, peach, heady and very powerful floral notes (roses)? Alcohol is a little too present and takes the nose. In addition to alcohol, a minty freshness (?). After a long aeration appear dates and figs.
    • Taste
Honey, fruit jams (cherry plum). Sweet, sweet mouth. This very sweet side is very well counterbalanced by a nice freshness (mint), which does not make it sickening at all. Anise and licorice at times. It is also spicy and vinous with a subtle woody but present.
    • Finish
Always this very sweet side (honey) + freshness
