Whisky Reviews for Clan Denny Vatted Malt from Islay HH
5 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 86.00 points
- The aroma is fresh: sea water, iodine, stones, salt, honey notes (honey fresh, liquid, floral), a few citrus and sour fruits, berries, wet wood and wool, in the background smoke and peat. Good. Flavor : salt, peat, coal, smoke, pepper, sweets (creamy fondant), fruit, berry bitterness. The aftertaste is dry, peat with iodine and salt. Simple, not very long. Conclusion . I can not say that I liked it. The aroma is interesting and even unusual. The taste and aftertaste is simpler and more boring. It's young and young. Fine. The design of the bottle is great, but does not affect the assessment. Score 84 (n22t21f20b21).

- A nice light refreshing drink, but I wouldn't spend £30+ on it.
Quite feinty. Light sweet clean malt. Medium peating and a bit of salt spray.
Sugary attack and then clean malt. Very sweet clean and refreshing.
More smoke on the tail than elsewhere with a hint of spice.
- The nose is a little strong, but the rest is just pure heaven. Blended Islay Malt at it's best.
Very strong nose, tingling nose feeling. Peat. Smoke, tar and iodine. Really nice.
Nice attack, and then so much peat.
Long finish, like a Fidel Castro speech.
