A decent malt. A mixture of mineral and slightly earthy notes with yellow-fruity sherry and citrus fruits. In addition, pleasant seasoning. It's good to drink and it wouldn't be a mistake to try it again. For me, the better alternative to the 16-year-old original bottling.
Solid malt, the nose is convincing! Only on the palate do I find it a bit unbalanced at the moment, the wood dominates a bit. The aroma shows a nice sherry influence, then the whole thing turns into a somewhat bitter and spicy experience.
Dried fruits, nice slightly tart, musty sherry influence, light herbal notes, delicate malt and grain notes. Almost smells a bit older than it really is. Red preserved fruits, delicate sweetness towards dark sugar, some chocolate, in the background some vanilla.
Pleasantly spicy, slightly tart, nice notes of dried fruits and spices, a hint of citrus, tart and spicy wood, slightly moist and musty notes of tart herbs.
Relatively flat, yet comfortable and very soft. A bit bitter. A light spicy wood note accompanied by slightly tart fruit notes remains. Surprisingly long-lasting.
