Lives a lot on smoke. Still sensible on the nose, almost inedible on the palate without water. It is acceptable to drink with water. I just don't know why. There are enough Islay whiskys of the same quality at better conditions.

It starts with smoke, vanilla and pepper to follow. A trace of floral notes appeared. Plus dust and peppermint. Roasted aromas, liquorice, spices and, much later, unripe apples appear with water.

Sweet and spicy beginning, the smoke is there too. It gets a little salty. And then the alcohol comes in with power and burns out the throat. With water it becomes a little more pleasing, a little more spicy.

At most, a medium-long finish with burning alcohol, smoke and spices. Creates a creamy mouthfeel. Slightly bitter and slightly oak finish with water.
