Although not as full-fat as the official 10yo, it is still quite a fun version. A higher percentage of alcohol definitely helps.
    (Evaluated on a sample basis.)
    • Nose
Smoked meat, new leather shoes, iodine tincture, slightly spoiled eggs and pepper chips.

With water: Cinnamon, Maggi and lovage.
    • Taste
Sweet, gradually creamy to oily. Orange juice and peel, smoked cheese and chewed fruit gum.

With water: It thickens even more. Menthol candy, herbal candy and coffee cream.
    • Finish
Smoked cheese with sparkling wine, ginger, plastic and ash.

With water: Menthol and mint tea. Slightly astringent. Citrus peel.

Very complex dram for 12 years. In my opinion the smoky notes differ in nose, taste and finish. There are hints of citrus cests, some fruity sweetness and notes of caramel.

Strong smoke note. While the 10 year old has this gentle dirty smoke this one is at the start really like burnt rubber. Then it is calming down. Smoked meat and leather. Some maritime notes. Iodine and salt. After some minutes there are caramel notes and vanilla as well as citrus cests. Nice for those who like peated malts.

it appears very oily in the glas and it also has this oily mouthfeeling. The smoke is more gentle like a burning campfire with some smoked meat. Then there are notes of citrus and some sweet fruits. While tasting it is the typical dirty smoke of Ledaig...not medicinal or burnt rubber definitely more farm like. Further there is a light note of salty caramel.

Quite long. Some fruity notes which stay for some time. The peatiness is actually again more the burnt rubber and not medicinal or like smoked meat.

I ate a whole bottle of it ... from different glasses ..
I hoped for development, but no ...
    Straight as a board.
    Regular drinking at 86
    • Nose
Burnt rubber and burnt matches. (Dot)
    • Taste
Already with acid, a complete repetition of the nose - I chew rubber)))
    • Finish
Stable, long lasting. But again de rubber)

First strong campfire smoke, then immediately sweet citrus fruits mandarin / clementine, slightly grassy, vanilla, malt, mint and leather

Oily and intense in the beginning, first smoke that is quickly replaced by vanilla sugar and salty caramel. Lemon zest, white pepper and milk chocolate
    • Finish

Medium length, pleasant smoke remains, light flavor, great mouthfeel!
