    careful with water!!
an interesting malt (in a good way)

would definitely be a purchase candidate
    • Nose
cheesy slims, red effervescent, oak, green leaf from tree, vanilla comes
with water: more wood, vanilla, mineral and then goes in the direction of roofing felt, then becomes sweet

from the 1920s: a lot of wood, becoming more flowery, plastic, tingling, red currant, slightly grassy
with water: cheesy, sour apple, paper
    • Taste
      round and soft
Oak, tart-spicy, the alcohol tingles, sherry (other/tart)

with water: sparkling, chocolate ~70%, meat sauce?
    • Finish
      medium long
      Oak, sweet, floral

with water: chocolate ~75%, a chemical note, sweet candy

Nice full scent. Taste is then a bit disappointing. With sherry and dessert wine. Apricot and fruity.

  4. DenverbroncosDuke scored this whisky 83 points Connoisseur

    Full-bodied but not very characteristic.
    • Nose
      Closed, somewhat lemony, flowery,
    • Taste
Ginger heat, dark fruits, peppery sweetness.
    • Finish
Very long, draws water in the cheeks, very spicy.

Sorry Michel Reick, I wouldn't give it away to old friends. At least if I want to keep it.
With it is too unbalanced, you have already filled much better barrels. Good thing I was able to get hold of a sample

      Nice and fruity, adhesive at the beginning, slightly nutty, in the background tanine;

The longer it is in the glass, the fresher it will be and the glue will dissipate.
      Alcohol well integrated.
    • Taste
      80 80
      Dry sweetness, nuts, tanine
    • Finish
      78 78
The sweetness is gone quickly and the tannins remain.

A really great whisky for the young age.

Great nose! Reminds me of Glendronach 12y Single Cask. Balanced.
Mostly with many sweet notes, plenty of apricot jam, fruity. The alcohol is very well integrated. Vanilla with pear.

With a little water: more floral, softer, a little bit of nutmeg.

Very well done, the complexity is lacking for the higher rating, but that leaves room for the Tomatin character with which I started to love whisky.
