    • Nose
Blackberry jam, chocolate, coffee, toast. Very convincing initially, it fans and scrambles with the opening.
    • Taste
Sweet and gourmet, topped with sweet spices, alcoholic integration is perfectible.
    • Finish
Nice tannins, sweetened coffee, persistent bitterness, nice outing.

A well made Glendro, one more Glendro.

N: very open, no alcohol; It seems a bit 'unloaded, it does not even seem to full degree, let alone 60% ... Really very fruity, however, with notable superfast notes of strawberries and blackberries and raspberries and blueberries. Some notes 'scented' (almost floral ... intense, however), of dried fruit (figs to gogo) but not only (juicy plums). Zero dirty notes. Burnt marmalade. A few bits of caramel, something toasted. After a while a balsamic vinegar comes out. Creamy (creme caramel), to witness the PX barrel. P: the palate, with a slightly intense attack, is much less fruity: so much licorice, so much toffee, creme caramel. Is there a sweet note a bit strange, maybe carob? Toasted hazelnuts. The fruit is clear, with raspberry jam; an intense raisin (almost siropposa, if possible). It has a panettone of Marsala and almonds. Wood, sometimes bitter. Good, but does not seem to full degree ... Already emerged the tremendous doubt in the nose, but maybe the sample was not closed well and lost in gradation? Boh. Even if this were the case, the overall effect remains good. F: all on panettone, raisins, marsala. Still strawberry. Caramelized things (what do I know, peanuts?). Detail: hyper-fruited nose, palate and final more on pastry and almond paste. We expected it to be more intense, but frankly we have the very clear impression that the sample has left the angels (?) A little something ... In any case, despite our doubts we decided to publish the same as our notes because the effect, even if a little discharged from what might have been originally, it is still very pleasant; to demonstrate, if we want, that GlenDronach splits. http://whiskyfacile.com/2015/03/27/glendronach-1991-2010-cask-3182-ob/

    Glendronach blind vertical tasting note.

Transferring previous Note (2011.12.21) content into a Tasting Note.
    • Nose
raisins, rubber (garden hose), blackcurrant, varnish/glue, musty, coffee grounds, tannins, waxy, maple (90)
Later: a few green plant notes seem to join in (86)
    • Taste
full on sherry sweetness w raisins and asome wood, quick flavour burst
Later: develops a few mushroom aromes (83)
    • Finish
alc accelerates, light smoke, wood dryness, som,e sherry traces, but
altogether dissapears somewhat quick and leaves only alcohol and wood
      standing. (85)
