Whisky Reviews for Highland Park 1997 BF
7 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 83.70 points
A lot of fruits, particularly green apples, a little bit of smoke, gooseberry and smoothness.
A lot of apples, light sourness, gooseberry, a little bit of dryness, it is definitely smooth, but not very complex.
Medium long, lightly fruity with a lot of green apple sourness.
- Just changed my rating from 82 to 85. Bottle is now below half and it seems fruitier than ever.
- Odd whisky, no balance or harmony, think I like it.
Strange nose, lot of citrics. Some 'drop' (Dutch candy) and organic smells like hai.
Neat: bourbon like, not so smouth but too much parfume. Odd taste too (as the nose).
Water: Not enough body for adding water, dont do this (at home :-) ) All flavours are gone...
- Don't dare to rate this one yet but it's not going to be very positive. It's a lot like tequilla, it smells like squeezed lemon peel. With a little water the smell is nice/interesting but then it's too watery right away for the taste.
