Whisky Reviews for Isle of Jura 1990 PST
8 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 89.64 points
- Excellent Jura, retaining sufficient distillery character (especially on the nose) while also playing a splendid fruity-vegetal duality. The nose is maybe a little restrained (for now, bottle aeration might improve things), but the palate is drop dead gorgeous.
- Old school Jura walking borderline between austerity and fruitiness.
Nice balance between mineral, waxy and fruity notes.
Mineral, vegetal and light coastal notes. Chalk, seashells, grass. A touch of leather. Citrusy notes (limes, grapefruits), gooseberries.
Honey, chalk, citrus and yellow fruits, pepper, mentholated and herbal notes.
Medium, waxy, citrusy, mineral and slightly bitter.
- A good vintage Isle of Jura. Quite fruity, oily and also layered with notes of olives, vegetables, orchard, sunflower, chamomile tea, wild roses. Long oily finish.
