Whisky Reviews for Bruichladdich 1965

- Bruichladdich 1965 Reserva Veronelli is a awesome whisky! It starts with sweet perfume notes of fruits, leather, black currant, raspberry, allspices, sweet muffins, cream and cherry on nose. The palate is light, sweet and dry with notes of fruits, dry hay, perfume, berries, caramel and oak. The finish is long, sweet and dry with notes of spices, perfume, oak, green pear rind, apples and caramel. It’s a light and perfume whisky, which needs a time to be opened.
- A very good old Bruichladdich. Excellent nose with just a touch of OBE and a very nice evolution with time. The palate was a tad below.
Fragrant. Starts on apples, plums, leather and spices. Pastry notes with melon pan and custard. After a while, old dusty books, tobacco and underwood (wet soil, mushrooms).
Spicy and fruity. Apples, pears, berries again, caramel and a touch of oak.
Medium, drying, lingering spices.
