Appearance: Straw golden.
Nose: Wood, smoke, iodine, citrus, plum. Much less of a powerful nose than the Ardbeg 5.
Palate: Fruity, campfire, black pepper, citrus and apple.
Finish: Pepper, light iodine, smoke, caramel, apple, wood.
Overall: Mildly peaty, surprisingly fruity. Not as impressive as the 16 but I liked it more than the Wee Beastie that I had side-by-side with this.
