Even if I am alone with my opinion I think the nose is particularly nice. Even though I see why some say it is artificial, or syrupy.
Intense. How I remember 'Allardice 18' from years back. (is it why experts and pros thought it is inferior? maybe...)
Syrupy raisins, prunes, figs, and medjool dates. Coconut flakes. Toffee. Bit of oak, molasses, vanilla, caramel. Cassia on dried fruits. Leather and muscovado. Cocoa dust.
Initially sweet. Caramel then cinnamon, bit of peppery heat. Prunes. Coffee bitterness. Espresso bitterness or Macchiato with cocoa dust rather. Walnut.
Medium. Ends with a bit of maltiness.
This is the only disappointment.
