Slight honey sweetness and mild fruit aromas. Offers little to discover, but is very pleasant and round. All in all, for me, more to drink than to discover flavors. Accordingly, I think the current issue price of around € 130 is significantly too high for this bottling.
Very mild. Dried fruits and honey, a hint of vanilla, pleasantly light acidity of fresh fruit. Very round and pleasing with not too much depth for an 18 year old malt. I like it, but it's not particularly exciting.
Slight spiciness, honey sweetness, whereby the acidity of fresh fruit comes a little more forward. Hardly a trace of wood notes. Maybe a little caramel, but rather subtle. Again very round and pleasing, at the same time with little depth. Nice to drink alongside.
Short to medium length and rather unspectacular. The 18 years of barrel aging can finally be guessed by some mild wood aromas. But the vanilla aromas and the slight sweetness can hardly be described as intense. Here, too, the bottling is unlikely to offend anyone. But presumably it knocks only a few off the stool. All in all, however, a clean finish that is as little to complain about as to discover.
